We have been very busy over the month of May attending wedding expos. First was The Bride and Groom Show, followed by Hitch'd. Both were great opportunities to meet prospective brides and grooms (and their support crew), as well as some 0f our lovely couples that have already booked their weddings. It was so nice to put faces to the names.
Our wedding season is looking very busy, which is fabulous, and it has us travelling to lots of beautiful locations. If you haven't booked yet, but want to secure Honey Bunny or Zed for your wedding, email us as soon as possible, as there aren't a lot of dates left! For those of you who are still deciding your dates - the fringe seasons have more availability, and there is something so special about a winter or spring wedding! At Pulp Functions, we are not just about weddings! We have had a few corporate bookings too- Honey Bunny makes a fabulous registration station for your corporate event. We spent Queen's Birthday weekend down at Queen's Wharf, cycling around Shed 10 and the Cloud, selling water from Zed. It was so fun, meeting people, chatting to the food truck vendors and market stall holders, as well as the classic car clubs. There was so much going on - music and games in The Cloud, fair ground rides and street food on the wharf, and Shed 10 was full of market stalls. There was such an awesome vibe, and it was wonderful to see people using Auckland's amazing facilities. Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend!

Well its time for a bit of a catch up. If you haven't seen our timeline on Facebook we have been quite busy this month.
We continued our Silo Park run through March and enjoyed our time spent on the waterfront, listening to live bands and eating great food from the food trucks! We attended a community event up at Waimauku for the opening of the new playground and fed ice blocks to the hordes of hot and sweaty runners at the finish line of the Riverhead Rampage. The Auckland Council invited us to the Family Day at Westhaven Marina where we had a great time meeting all the visiting families. The ice blocks were just the ticket on such a hot sunny day, we even sold out before the end of the event! Te Atatu Night Markets was such a great night, so many families enjoying a picnic on the grass, a big feed from all the food trucks, markets and a DJ who kept the tunes coming till late. Its the last one for the year Friday 7 April, don't miss out! Ending the month was the ever popular General Collective Markets last Sunday. Such a fantastic collection of artisans, creatives and the best variety of food trucks you could ask for under one roof. Our caravan bar, Honey Bunny, was manned by the team at Te Rata Wines and she was a big hit on the day serving organic wines, craft beer, cider and home made sodas. The next market is in August, details will be up on their website and Facebook page soon. It's very family friendly so bring the kids along for a fun day out. Facebook is the best way to keep up to date with all our events. Like us @pulpfunctionsltd We are at Silo Park Markets again this week (Sat 12 - 6pm) and also we will have the trike set up all day at the Waimauku Lions Gala at the opening of the new playground in Waimauku. (Sat 10 - 4pm). The Gala will feature food and craft stalls and be full of fun activities for the kids not to mention the brand new huge playground which looks just awesome. Come on down!
Our Ice Trike Zed will be at the Silo Park Markets in Wynyard from 12pm to 7pm Saturday 11 Feb.
Come and try our fabulous new suppliers natural real fruit ice blocks. Paletta Ice Blocks come in 6 delicious flavours- Raspberries & Cream, Passionfruit & Lime, Boysenberry Smoothie, Mango, Feijoa & Pear and the new Belgian Chocolate Fudge! See you there We featured Nice Blocks at the Riverhead Markets just prior to Christmas. These Fair Trade, organic, dairy free ice blocks were all well recieved, but the standout best seller on the day was Passionfruit and Coconut.
Finally...
We have been telling friends and family for months now about our new business and finally it has come together and we are more than happy with how it is all going. At times a slog, at times a chore, but mainly it has been a fun project and we are both proud of the collection we can offer our clients. We have done a couple of events so far and had Zed the Ice Trike out at school fairs and markets and we are thoroughly enjoying the new direction we have chosen. My plan is, with permission, to post photos of the events as we go so everyone can see what we are up to and how people are using our products. Also new inventory will be posted here so if you have an event booked be sure to check this page as an easy update to our stock. Wish us good luck! |
